Tippy Bonanza
This was one of my favorite pieces when I sang in a men’s chorus in college. The ethereal highs we first tenors sang against the droning deep lows the basses sang were otherworldly and exhausting and exhilarating at the same time. This treatment of the piece captures what I felt when I sang this some 25 years ago in a surprising, absorbing, utterly mesmerizing way. Brilliant and haunting.
